A former employee of Gap is appointed chief supply chain officer of Under Armour

Shawn Curran, who worked at Gap Inc. for more than 30 years, has been named Under Armour’s new chief supply chain officer.

Throughout his career, Curran held a variety of positions at Gap Inc., including Chief Operating Officer and Head of Global Supply Chain for all seven Gap Inc. brands. His most recent position was COO of Old Navy, where he managed over 44,000 staff members across 1,200 stores and oversaw all aspects of operations, including inventory and procurement.

In his new role at Under Armour, Curran will oversee end-to-end planning, product sourcing, production, and quality, as well as “global vendor base management”, distribution, logistics, international customs and trade, warehousing, and sustainability.

Shawn is a retail sector giant who joins Under Armour at this crucial time, according to Stephanie Linnartz, president and chief executive officer of Under Armour.

It is an honor to be a part of Under Armour, a legendary company that was created out of a passion and relentless concentration on creating cutting-edge goods that enable people to achieve their goals, said Curran.

John Varvatos joined Under Armour earlier this year as a consultant before being appointed chief design officer last month.
