With its many product zones, the 2018 Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition
will include a broad selection of recently created sustainable denim, practical textiles,
accessories, and more. The trade show, which is scheduled to take place in Shanghai from March
28 to 30, 2023, intends to draw in quality customers and provide suppliers access to China’s
quickly growing industry.
The sportswear industry in China is expanding quickly as younger generations choose healthier,
more active lives. To capitalize on this new market opportunity, several luxury fashion labels are
now selling athleisure. The exhibition's Functional Lab in hall 5.1 will feature cutting-edge
functional materials for athleisure, sports, and protective clothing and has the potential to draw
customers. According to a press statement from the event’s organizer, Messe Frankfurt, one
noteworthy exhibitor, Ascend Performance Materials from the US, will be back at the expo to
display Acteev zinc-embedded polyamide textiles, which offer antimicrobial protection from
odor-causing bacteria and fungus.
In addition to sportswear, the fair has been emphasizing green manufacturing with various zones
devoted just to sustainability. A significant majority of Intertextile Apparel exhibitors are from
the European Union (EU), which has implemented new initiatives to make its textile
manufacturing facilities greener. By encouraging more sustainable manufacturing through the
substitution of dangerous or ecologically harmful chemicals, the modifications will have a
particular influence on the wet processing of textiles, including bleaching, dyeing, and property-
specific finishing, such as water repellency.
Another EU policy emphasis is the circular economy, and many clothing companies have
adjusted their product lines in line with this. To facilitate faster recycling, Mango recently
debuted its first denim line manufactured from a single type of fiber and lacking rivets and jacron
labels. At Intertextile Apparel, sustainable denim supplier Bossa Ticaret Ve Sanayi Isletmeleri
TAS from Turkiye will return to showcase products made with organic cotton and their
SaveBlue water-saving dyeing process. You can find these types of cutting-edge denim products
and solutions at Beyond Denim in hall 7.2. At the designated area All About Sustainability, more
environmentally friendly vendors will be present. For some, this will not be their first outing.
The revolutionary dyeing, knitting, and finishing fabric mill Shanghai Tiqiao Textile Yarn
Dyeing, which is OEKO-TEX 100 certified, and Qima, a recognized quality control and
compliance organization, are among the returning exhibitors.
The forthcoming fair's international hall will be located in hall 5.1, with domestic exhibitors
placed in halls 5.1, 6.1, 6.2, 7.1, 7.2, and 8.1 according to the product end-use. The Digital
Printing Zone in hall 5.1, which will display cutting-edge digital printing technologies and
fashionable printed materials, is another highlighted zone. Hall 7.2’s Accessory Vision is home
to all clothing and fashion accessories.
One of the biggest makers of zippers in the world, Ideal Fastener Asia, is a provider of
accessories that is anticipated to have an influence. According to the press release, the firm is
anxious to grow its clientele, which already includes some of the best luggage producers in the
world, several significant garment companies, and NASA.
Co-organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, and
the Chinese Textile Information Centre is Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition
2023. Together with Yarn Expo Spring, CHIC, and PH Value, it will be held in conjunction with
