Following a successful Spring Edition of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles earlier this year, worldwide industry leaders are looking forward to the next international exhibition in August 2023. The three-day show will attract roughly 1,000 foreign and local exhibitors as the first Autumn Edition to be conducted in the aftermath of China easing many of its pandemic-related border restrictions.
From August 16-18, 2023, traders aiming to satisfy market demand will be able to select from a comprehensive choice of trendy and specialized home and contract textile items.
Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition 2023, widely regarded as one of Asia’s most comprehensive industry platforms, is expected to fill 100,000 sqm or more of floor space across four halls at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (Shanghai), according to organizer Messe Frankfurt in a press release.
According to new industry analysis, the worldwide home textile market will grow at a CAGR of 5.6% from 2023 to 2028, reaching $174.1 billion by the end of the projected period. In recent years, Asia-Pacific has dominated the worldwide market, with China being one of its most prominent contributors.
China, as the world’s manufacturing base for home textiles, is gradually rebounding from the pandemic’s social and economic repercussions.
Rosemary Li, domestic sales manager of Zhangjiagang Coolest Life Technology Co Ltd, a long-time exhibitor specializing in bio-based and functional bedding products, said at the recent Spring Edition: “Since China relaxed its pandemic-related control and prevention measures, we have been flooded with orders after Chinese New Year.” With both local and foreign orders growing, it has become nearly difficult for the manufacturing line to keep up.”
While the spring show’s promising visitor flow was a solid start to the Chinese home textile industry’s post-pandemic period, the 2017 Autumn Edition is projected to have a bigger involvement of international exhibitors and purchasers.
Exhibitors will display their most recent home and contract textile items in Shanghai later this year, including bedding and toweling, rugs, table and kitchen linen, upholstery and curtain fabrics, editors, home textile technology, and textile design. Several exhibit highlights include the Editor and Designer Zone, nation and area pavilions, and textile creations, providing purchasers with a plethora of options.
The Editor and Designer Zone, located in hall 5.1, will offer worldwide, high-end editor and designer brands presented to the show by major exhibitors J&C, Julai, Qianbaihui, Prestigious, Shanghai Lotus, SohoCut, Yada, and others.
Premium vendors from Belgium, Turkey, and Taiwan will showcase their wares in Hall 6.1 in their allocated pavilions.
Textile design companies from Japan, Portugal, and Taiwan, including Amilia Design Studio, Fine Art Inc, and Tela’s Design Lda, will also exhibit their seasonal collections in hall 6.1.
A plethora of local players from many categories will also present their products, expanding customers’ sourcing choices. Exhibitors include the leading curtain and curtain fabric providers FuTex, Hangzhou Aico, Hexin, and Xiaoxuanchuang; bedding suppliers Coolist, Huizhou Wah Shing, and Yantai North Home; and upholstery and sofa fabric suppliers Hightex, Huatex, Maya, and Suzhou Roufang.
