Freudenberg Performance Materials Apparel (Freudenberg) has earned a Gold rating in the material health area of the Cradle to Cradle Certified Product Standard Version 3.1 for the thermal insulation in the product series Comfortemp soft HO 80x. The “Gold C2C Certified Material Health Certificate” confirms the materials’ safety and their significance in safeguarding human health and the environment.
After earning silver status for the same product series in 2020, Freudenberg’s recent re-certification demonstrates the company’s continuous dedication to providing sustainable, innovative, and industry-leading solutions.
The HO 80x soft series’ extremely soft thermal insulation (HO 803, HO 804, HO 805, HO 806) is constructed of polyamide 6 wadding and is multiple recyclable in terms of a sustainable circular economy. The wadding also has good wearing comfort, making it excellent for long-term uses in the luxury, athletic, and outdoor industries. The wadding does not clump and can withstand numerous wash cycles at 40°C due to its roll composition.
The Cradle to Cradle Items Innovation Institute certifies items and procedures based on testing for hazardous elements. Furthermore, the influence of chemical compounds is evaluated throughout three product life cycle phases: final manufacturing, usage, and end of life.
