Home Textile Association (TETSIAD) chairman Hasan Huseyin Bayram informed delegates at the five-day HOMETEX show that Turkiye’s home textile industry’s export earnings were worth $5 billion last year.
According to Bayram, the event is projected to increase the country’s exports by 20-25 per cent. The expo attracted about 850 firms. The number of exhibitors increased by 15% this year compared to last, according to Ibrahim Burkay, chairman of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Trade, as stated by a Turkish daily.
This year, a great number of firms from the provinces of Bursa, Kahramanmaras, Denizli, Adana, Ankara, and Gaziantep attended HOMETEX, and the number of overseas exhibitors expanded dramatically. HOMETEX debuted 31 years ago.
