Archroma works with the CAD/CAM System from Pointcarre

With a focus on sustainable solutions, Archroma Textile Effects is a global supplier of specialized chemicals. It is integrating its 5,760 color palette into the Pointcarre digital textile design and production (CAD/CAM) system. The well-known Mac and PC textile design program Pointcarre Textile Software, which has been around for 30 years, makes it easier for designers of technical, fashion, and home furnishings to create digital prototypes. This software makes it easier for designers to present collections by streamlining tasks like knitting, fabric weaving, and printing.

Through the integration of the Archroma color portfolio into this system, designers will be able to improve the speed and accuracy of their creative process. In order to enhance their ideas and accomplish exact color matching throughout manufacturing, they will have access to a sizable searchable library of Archroma colors.

Notably, all Archroma color references can be created using dyes that adhere to both brand clients’ sustainability requirements and international eco-standards.

The purpose of the Archroma Color Atlas, according to Chris Hipps, Global Head of Archroma Color Management at Archroma Textile Effects, is to provide designers with reproducible color palettes for inspiration. By adding this color palette to the Pointcarre system, designers will be more flexible and can also support sustainability at the same time. Pointcarre Textile Software’s president, Steve Greenberg, emphasized the company’s dedication to use cutting-edge technologies in both design and production for the advantage of its clientele. Working with Archroma improves color inspiration, streamlines processes, lowers expenses, and expedites designer turnaround times.

Pointcarre is providing multilingual e-learning sessions on its Academy training platform to help customers fully utilize the expanded color collection. Brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Nautica, and others rely on the Pointcarre systems. Furthermore, Archroma and Browzwear have extended their collaboration, providing designers with 3D digital solutions that provide access to over 5,760 color references.
