Early in 2023, Archroma introduced FiberColors®, a cutting-edge line of dyes built on a ground-breaking technology that creates its own gorgeous colors from pre- and post-consumer textile waste. FiberColors®, which are synthesized using a minimum of 50% textile waste-based raw material, turn pre- and post-consumer fashion and textile waste into attractive recycled colors, enabling brands to include pre-loved collections into their new ones. Recent 2023 Just Style Excellence Awards recognized the revolutionary FiberColors® technology for significant advancements in dye technology.
Cotton, polyamide, and their mixtures (with more than 95% purity) are used by FiberColors® to replace a significant portion of the petroleum-based raw material that is typically used to produce dyestuff.
With this method, garbage can be either virgin or recycled, and color sorting is not necessary. Five dyes were used to create a timeless color pallet. Diresul® Fiber-Teak (brown hues), Diresul® Fiber-Ochre (olive shades), Diresul® Fiber-Maroon (bordeaux tones), Diresul® Fiber-Slate (blue grey shades), and Diresul® Fiber-Graphite (dark grey shades) are among the Diresul® FiberColors® collection. The dyes can be used in continuous, exhaust, denim, and garment dyeing and printing processes and are especially well suited for cellulosic fibers like cotton, viscose, linen, and kapok.
Brands that are dedicated to a sustainable future and want to assist discover a solution to textile landfills as well as give value to trash, including items collected in their take-back programs that cannot be reused, should adopt FiberColors*. FiberColors®, which are now only available to brands, allows the development of a wide range of collections, from t-shirts and chinos to sweatshirts, hoodies, polo shirts, and home textiles.
