Shanghai's Yarn Expo Spring 2023 will draw international business leaders.

Shanghai’s Yarn Expo Spring 2023 will draw international business leaders.

Messe Frankfurt anticipates a more significant number of international attendees at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from March 28–30, 2023, as its spring textile exhibits approach. The last Yarn Expo Spring, held with four other textile trade shows, attracted 21,204 people and 387 exhibitors from six nations and regions.

“The yarn and fiber sector is still doing well worldwide. Due to China’s openness, there has been an increase in foreign and local exhibitor confirmations for this edition and customer interest abroad. While the fair will feature a wide variety of yarns and fibers, Wilmet Shea, general manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, said in a press release that he would like to draw special attention to this edition’s overseas contingent as well as the fancy yarn product zone, which will be home to a strong lineup of committed suppliers.

The show’s international exhibitors are a popular draw, and many will return to the fairground this spring. Yarn Expo Spring will debut several significant industry firms, including Rieter Machine Works Ltd and Jyoti Threads (India) Ltd.

Rieter Machine Works Ltd in Switzerland is one of the top producers of equipment, systems, and parts for the short-staple spinning of yarns from natural, synthetic, and mixed fibers. They have participated in Yarn Expo Fall before, but this will be their first appearance in the spring expo.

The well-known cotton yarn producer and exporter Jyoti Threads (India) Ltd. The business manufactures a range of goods, including weaving, knitting, and slub yarns, using high-end equipment. Its slub yarn, which falls under the fancy yarn category, is used by downstream producers to make clothes, jeans, curtains, bedspreads, and other items.

“Yarn Expo Spring is the most cutting-edge trade show for the sector in China because of the intimate relationships between exhibitors and attendees. We have met a lot of new clients thanks to many trade show attendees, which is why we have been exhibiting here for a long time, said Huang Shao Ting, operations manager of Pakistan’s Xiamen Naseem Trading Co Ltd, during the last Yarn Expo.

The market for fancy yarn is anticipated to surpass $7.6 billion by 2030, with key product categories including chenille, loop, NEP, slub, snarl, and spiral, thanks to a robust CAGR of 6%. China and India primarily drive the largest market share in the Asia-Pacific region. Foreign customers in this market may head to the fancy yarn section of the exhibition, where several Chinese exhibitors will have their connected goods on display.

Jiaxing Xinran Textile from Zhejiang, a producer of spandex-covered yarns such as air-covered yarn, single-covered yarn, and double-covered yarn, is one of these exhibitors. Its yarns are frequently used to create textiles, including knitted fabric, woven fabric, seamless pantyhose, sock tops, and shoe surface fabric since all its raw materials are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 approved.

Several well-known fancy yarn exhibitors, such as Dongguan Wanke Textile, Zhejiang Flying String, Tongxiang City Xinxiang Textile, Dongguan Yilihaitong Textile, and Dongguan Jintai Textile, will be present alongside the firm.

In addition to enhancing the onsite sourcing experience, the fair’s online business matching tool, E-Source, will be accessible to buyers who cannot attend in person. Yarn Expo Spring will occur with CHIC, PH Value, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, and Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition. The synergy produced by the five concurrent fairs amplifies the platform’s value as the whole supply chain joins for three days of networking, business matching, and information exchange.

Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, co-organizeYarn Expo Spring.
