The Sustainable Markets Initiative’s Fashion Task Force, led by digital entrepreneur and pioneer of sustainable fashion Federico Marchetti, has welcomed Prada Group as a new member.
Founded in 2021, the Fashion Task Force aims to accelerate the fashion industry’s transition to a more sustainable future through proactive programs. As a member, Prada Group will help effect change and accelerate progress in key areas.
It is a privilege for us to be a member of this coalition and to offer our expertise in traceability.
According to Lorenzo Bertelli, head of corporate social responsibility at Prada Group, “building on everyone’s invaluable experience and striving to achieve common goals in sustainability is a productive way to face today’s complexity and to constantly improve.”
“We are delighted to welcome Prada Group and Lorenzo Bertelli to our action-oriented Fashion Task Force,” Marchetti continued. Lorenzo and I are both passionate about innovation and consumer centricity. Prada is a great fit with a unified set of top businesses working toward the same goal: fashion in balance with the natural world.
Over the years, the Task Force has worked on several projects, including the launch of the Digital Product Passport at the G20 summit in Rome and initiatives focused on regenerative agriculture in places like the Himalayas and the Italian region of Apulia.
Prada Group is joining the Fashion Task Force along with executives from upscale fashion platforms, businesses, and retailers like the Aura Blockchain Consortium, Brunello Cucinelli, Burberry, Chloé, Gabriela Hearst, Giorgio Armani, Puig, Moda Operandi, and Zalando.
