H&M of Sweden introduces a Disney line featuring Trevor Andrew

In order to create the Disney100 x H&M collection, multidisciplinary artist Trevor Andrew, a former well-known professional snowboarder, teamed up with the Swedish retailer H&M. He is recognized as the creator of the GucciGhost street art tag.

The collection has a laid-back vibe and features various Disney characters, all-over designs, and Andrew’s distinctive symbols, such as the ghost and the flying egg. It was inspired by Andrew’s love of Disney and street art culture. The oversized and loose fits of the sweatshirts, hoodies, T-shirts, shirts, and long-sleeved polo shirts are perfect for the next season. Additionally, the drop includes essential accessories like socks, boxer shorts, and caps, according to a press statement from H&M.

Additionally, the collection includes H&M’s first limited-edition skateboards, which also have one-of-a-kind artwork from skateboard enthusiast Andrew. The skateboard’s deck is made of seven layers of maple plywood and is 31″ long and 8″ broad. The Disney wordmark logo is hand painted in one style, and the classic Disney characters are in the other style.

“It is an honor for me to recreate Disney’s well-known characters and introduce them to a setting where they can be encountered and worn. Andrew stated, “This is about bringing art, fashion, and just all of us together.

“I can’t wait to release our first three-way collaboration,” I said. Ross Lydon, head of Menswear Design at H&M, commented that Trevor’s research into the Disney archives produced something both memorable and distinctive.

“I adore denim because of how iconic the labels make it. The fact that the varsity jacket has various Disney characters adds to its appeal. Regarding his favorite collection items, Andrew remarked, “It’s fun to be able to put so many—all in one piece.

Andrew is an NFT inventor, musician, artist, and filmmaker from Los Angeles. In galleries all over the world, including Deitch Projects, Milk Studio, One Trick Pony, HVW8, Parco Osaka, and Modern Art Museum Shanghai, his work has been on view. Real Buy, Andrew’s brand influenced by streetwear, was introduced in 2019.
