The British Textile Machinery Association (BTMA) has joined the Zurich-based worldwide Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF), reviving a longstanding link and indicating an intensified desire to broaden UK firms’ worldwide reach.
The announcement was made in Milan during the ITMA 2023 textile machines expo.
“We are pleased to welcome the BTMA as our latest association member and look forward to a long and fruitful partnership going forward,” said ITMF director general Dr. Christian Schindler.
“The ITMF was headquartered in Manchester, UK, until the 1960s, so we have a long history together.” Today, ITMF members come from all parts of the textile supply chain, allowing them to obtain a deeper grasp of the industry’s complete complexity and dynamism, as well as properly respond to the possibilities and problems it faces.”
“Members of our association had a fantastic time at ITMA this week, and I see joining the ITMF as critical to building on their international success going forward,” BTMA CEO Jason Kent added. “We also look forward to participating in the ITMF’s 2023 Annual Conference in Keqiao, China, in November of this year.”
