The Texworld Evolution Paris trade exhibitions will welcome 1,350 exhibitors from over 20 nations to the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre from July 3 to 5, 2023. Texworld Paris tickets are already sold out. Apparel Sourcing, Avantex, Leatherworld, and Texworld Paris will focus for three days on the centrepiece of the worldwide offer for fashion manufacturers, from ready-to-wear to luxury, to commemorate their 25th anniversary.
This year’s Texworld Evolution Paris, held for the first time in the heart of Paris, will be the largest event since the conclusion of COVID-19. According to Messe Frankfurt, attendance is predicted to be 40% higher than the last edition in February, with approximately 1,350 manufacturers expected in Hall 1 of the Porte de Versailles exposition facility.
“This edition opens with a lot of energy and enthusiasm from both exhibitors and visitors,” said Frédéric Bougeard, president of Messe Frankfurt France. “We have just finished the first half of the year since 2019 without sanitary restrictions affecting production.” This revitalised vitality in the major textile-producing regions has had a beneficial influence on our textile and apparel shows: the July session is already sold out, and we have a huge waiting list for the February 2024 session.”
Texworld Evolution Paris is completely fulfilling its function as a worldwide sourcing platform for the fashion sector, providing buyers a considerably greater selection of goods on a more accessible site, in an environment where textile and garment suppliers are returning to pre-crisis levels of participation. Texworld Paris will welcome almost 750 exhibitors, with a notable presence of Chinese, Turkish, Indian, Korean, and Pakistani exhibitors, as well as Indonesian, Thai, and Uzbek exhibitors. As in previous sessions, there will be a significant Turkish representation under the pavilion of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO), with enterprises enabling proximity sourcing displaying their expertise in knitting, draperies, and jacquard. Indian producers will have a high-quality embroidered offer, particularly for handcrafted items.
Denim experts will be prominent as well, with approximately 70 exhibitors from China, Bangladesh, India, and Turkey gathered in the Denim Village. As in previous years, the elite sector will include high-value enterprises that provide complementary services to brands and fashion designers (performance, logistics, quality-price ratio, responsiveness…). Visitors will come across Pakistani manufacturers Liberty Mills and Kamal, Turkish manufacturers Segovin Tekstil and Migiboy Tekstil, and Indian GBTL, Orbit Exports, and DC Exports.
The 25th anniversary of Texworld Paris will also provide a chance to give guests events and unique activities, as well as new services and networking. The T-Club area’s business-oriented services for exhibitors and guests will be enhanced. Two joint days will be scheduled for guests in partnership with Curve and Interfilière Paris, the professional events for the lingerie, loungewear, swimwear, and athletic communities, which will be placed from July 2 to 4 in Hall 5. This collaboration will result in a larger fashion platform with shared updates and promotions.
Apparel Sourcing Paris will welcome 500 finished product and accessory manufacturers from a dozen countries, including several emerging sourcing countries for finished products, such as Cambodia, Egypt, and Myanmar, which has not participated since 2019 and will be represented by 5 companies led by the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA). For the first time, a dozen Turkish firms will demonstrate their competence in clothes and contract production under the pavilion of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO).
The Chinese Brands section will showcase manufacturers who are attempting to get into the European fashion industry by selling their brand, or white labels, to European distributors. Buyers will also be able to include leather in their sourcing requests, as Leatherworld Paris will host approximately 20 exhibitors of raw materials, finished and semi-finished products, including a South African pavilion featuring a dozen companies whose products demonstrate a sharp and highly creative approach. Avantex Paris, which will now take place every summer, is also increasing its offering with two areas devoted to solutions and businesses promoting more sustainable fashion.
The first, resources, will be available in the Phygital trend area near the Agora and will include a range of new materials and performance raw materials. The examples on display will be linked by QR code to the digital platform FourSource, a Messe Frankfurt France partner, to offer visitors further information. The second, dubbed Le Hub, will be exclusively devoted to start-ups and businesses exhibiting unique ideas and breakthroughs for the fashion sector (conception, design, manufacturing, traceability, Web3, AI, and so on).
A number of conferences on sustainable fashion (environmental labels, alternatives to fast fashion) will also be hosted. This year, Pakistan and Taiwan have launched novel efforts to promote brands that stand out for their dedication to more responsible fashion. 14 Pakistani enterprises will exhibit their final goods under the Sustainable Pakistan Pavilion at Avantex Paris, as revealed by sustainable development efforts spearheaded by the German Governmental International Cooperation Institution GIZ. On the textile front, the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) has chosen six high-quality enterprises for their environmental credentials: they will be part of the Taiwan Eco Textile Collective pavilion, which will take up 48 square metres at Texworld Paris. “Our goal has always been to integrate sustainable development objectives into our textile trade shows,” Bougeard remarked. “These proposals demonstrate that these issues are critical and that they are being addressed.”
The Avantex Fashion Pitch competition, held each year within the scope of the Avantex Paris segment, honours the most creative fashion and textile initiatives. The chosen winners will present their work in the form of a 5-minute pitch in front of an experienced jury on July 3. The winner will receive a start-up stand at the next Avantex Paris. There are three types of innovative projects: services, textiles or soft materials, and fashion design.
