Romania’s Rifil launches Infinity Yarns with TAF’s Regel

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS)-certified Infinity series of eco-friendly worsted yarns are being introduced by the textile company Rifil Group, located in Romania, and is created using Regel, a recycled acrylic fiber from Thai Acrylic Fiber (TAF). In January of this year, the new high-performance yarn will be introduced during the Pitti Filati trade expo in Florence, Italy.

The recycled acrylic fiber used in Infinity by Rifil is Regel. A high-performing recycled yarn ideal for all end uses is Infinity. According to a press release from Aditya Birla Group, it is designed to maintain all essential qualities, including natural hand-feel, brilliant hues, color brightness, and comfort characteristics. It also boasts a GRS certification, transparency, and traceability from waste to retail (ABG).

One of the biggest producers of acrylic and wool mix yarns in the world, Rifil Group is situated in Romania and uses cutting-edge technology to produce high-quality products. Every year, Rifil has 20,000,000 kg of thread for clothing, knitwear, outdoor and indoor furniture, materials resistant to weather and sunshine, and other products.

“I’m excited to introduce a line of environmentally friendly yarns from the recycled acrylic fiber. According to Olmo Falco, the Rifle Group general manager, “This enables us to take a step in a circular orientation that helps save natural resources without compromising the end product’s performance. “We know that TAF is a component of the ABG group’s circular economy strategy, which is at its heart. Therefore, we believe entirely in their high-performance materials to make Infinity a new sustainable option for our consumers.

“We are pleased that Rifil has turned Regel into high-performance yarn. According to Tuhin Kulshreshtha, head of marketing, TAF, ABG, “With Rifil’s experience and technology joining with Regel, we think this will push the development of high-performance Infinity to positive transformation within the industry and customers’ expectations.”

Regel is produced using a natural chemical recycling process and recycled acrylic waste. It performs similarly to acrylic fiber regarding warmth, comfort, and brilliant colors. Regel is GRS-certified and Bluesign-approved acrylic yarn.
