Product tracing is added by S. Oliver to its online store

There is now a tracing tool available for some products on the S. Oliver website, allowing buyers to obtain details like certificates and evidence of the sustainable materials used in each item of clothing. One of the traceable products is S. Oliver’s “empowering farmer’s collection,” which consists of clothing made from Indian organic cotton. The merchant secured purchase commitments to the farmers who produced the cotton used in these products.

The 360° denim capsule is another product line that is traceable. According to S. Oliver, it was designed with recyclability in mind and uses at least 20% recycled cotton. Moreover, cutting-edge finishing methods were used on the denim to minimize resource usage.

Oliver hopes to broaden the tracing function to cover additional collections and guarantees that the assertions made on sustainability have been independently confirmed. “We plan to make sustainability tangible and obvious for our customers,” said Sabrina Müller, the S. Oliver Group’s head of sustainability. This necessitates providing trustworthy proof of sustainability promises through traceability and transparency. By doing this, we hope to encourage more conscientious consumption and thoughtful shopping choices.

Müller emphasized, “The S. Oliver Group views transparency as a key driver of development, and the confirmed disclosure of supply chain and sustainability information for key products represents a significant advancement.” The business intends to progressively expand this concept to include additional goods and supply networks.
