Over 60 nations gather in Moscow for the BRICS+ Fashion Summit

Held in Moscow from November 28 to December 2, the BRICS+ Fashion Summit showcased the broad experience and potential of fashion specialists from over 60 countries. At the summit, heads of fashion associations, content producers, lecturers, and designers presented their knowledge to a global audience.

The summit featured more than 200 international speakers talking about issues facing the business, offering a wide variety of programs. 40 sessions totalling 12,000 attendees were featured in the Business program, with speakers from Indonesia, China, India, and other nations. According to a press release from the BRICS+ Fashion Summit, speakers will include Ali Charisma, the chairman of the Indonesian Fashion Chamber; Yang Jian, the executive chairman of the China Fashion Association; Alia Khan, the founder and chairwoman of the Islamic Fashion and Design Council; Paras Bairoliya, a senior member of the board of governors at the Fashion Design Council of India; and many more.

In Moscow’s historic buildings, the Fashion Shows showcased labels from 11 different countries, showcasing 325 looks designed by 126 stylists and cosmetics professionals. Their distinct viewpoints and inventiveness were on display at the event.

On the runway were well-known labels such as Arzu Kaprol (Turkiye), CHNNYU (China), AL•DRI•E (Indonesia), The FDCI presents: riteshkumar; Khanijo; Naushad Ali; Shruti Sancheti (India), and many more.

Additionally, a 5-day B2B showroom with over 130 products and designers from various nations, such as Nigeria, Turkiye, India, Indonesia, and more, was presented during the event in Zaryadye, drawing in buyers from a wide range of countries. Indonesian entrepreneurs Ali Charisma and Aldrie Indrayana were present to exhibit their brands. As per Natalya Sergunina, deputy mayor of Moscow, the event facilitated relationships and transactions valued at 250 million rubles.

The goal of the 27-hour Fashion Intensive course was to give participants the knowledge and abilities they would need to be successful in the fashion industry.

Lectures from academics and professionals in the field were given by individuals such as Gulbash Duggal, head of the International College of Fashion in India; Bediz Yildirim, founder of Bediz Co.; Tutu Jiang, associate professor at the School of Fashion Design of CAA in China; and others.

The World Fashion Shorts event, which included sustainable installations and award-winning fashion videos, was hosted by the BRICS+ Fashion Summit. The originator of Manila International Fashion Week and the Manila International Fashion Film Festival, Balthazar Magallon, is a multimedia artist from the Philippines. He discussed the influence of fashion on cognition and identity.

Natalya Sergunina highlights the possibility of fortifying alliances with BRICS+ nations, adding that the global conference for fashion will build on achievements and discover new fields for collaborative endeavours.
