Odisha state in India accepts Trimetro Garments’ proposed clothing unit

Recently, the state of Odisha in India authorized 19 investment projects totaling 3,663 crore. One of the projects is to establish a clothing manufacturing facility.

According to a press release, Trimetro Garments India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of the Hong Kong-based Epic Group, plans to invest 376.85 crore to build an apparel manufacturing facility in the Khurda area. The central government-owned Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) and the state-run Odisha Power Generation Corporation Limited (OPGCL) have proposed to build solar power plants with investments worth 297.61 crore and 215 crore, respectively, in the renewable energy sector.

Super Sonic Logistics Pvt Ltd’s proposal was accepted. The state also authorized the infrastructure plans of Koli Commercial LLP and Vimla Infrastructure  (India) Pvt Ltd, both of which proposed to establish commercial freight terminals under the Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Terminal program.

Oricon Enterprise Ltd, a manufacturer of packaging goods, received approval to erect a manufacturing facility in Khurda with a 90 crore investment.

A meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), presided over by state chief secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, approved the projects. Over 13,500 people are anticipated to be employed as a result of these.
