Nilörn Bangladesh becomes a new partner in the Bluesign® System

By extending its business operations to Bangladesh, Nilörn, a global leader in the woven and printed apparel label sector, has partnered with the bluesign® system. Nilörn, which is renowned for offering a broad range of packaging options from a brand-building aspect, is used by household name brands. They provide as a one-stop shop for everything from custom printed plastic bags, cardboard boxes, and paper to clothing tags and e-commerce packaging.

“Our products are shipped to over 85 countries worldwide, making us a part of extensive supply chains,” stated Anna-Karin Wårfors, Nilörn’s global sustainability manager. We are aware that acting responsibly on a global scale is necessary given such a presence. Our goal is to lead our industry in sustainability.

The bluesign® SYSTEM eliminates hazardous elements from the process from the beginning and sets standards for production that is both safe and environmentally friendly. Customers can shop with confidence knowing that the final textile product complies with the stringent international consumer safety regulations.

Nilörn East Asia joined the bluesign® system in 2017, while Nilörn Portugal has been a partner since 2012. Wårfors said, “We are very happy to add Nilörn Bangladesh as a bluesign® system partner.” “The bluesign® system ensures that products fulfill strong consumer safety requirements and are produced sustainably by using a tight audit and chemical management system to eliminate dangerous compounds along the production chain. The highest standard of consumer safety, production with little effect on people or the environment, and responsible resource usage are all covered by the bluesign® labels.
