Launch of the MVTM range of tailored flat knits by MAS Matrix

The latest product platform for flat-knit items, MVTM, has been introduced by MAS Matrix, the diversified flat-knit garment production facility under MAS Holdings.

Athleisure clothing is reportedly revolutionized by the technology and product capabilities of the MVTM series. The line features a variety of extremely practical, adaptable, and fashionable styles.

According to MAS, the fundamental component of MVTM is the union of movement and momentum, which is symbolized by the abbreviation ‘MVTM’.

Palitha Liyanage, CEO of MAS Matrix, described Matrix’s capabilities by saying, “At Matrix, our journey is always changing; starting with designing knitted uppers for footwear and shifting to knit garments and beyond. Through the introduction of MVTM, we are thrilled to present our complete set of capabilities today. Our goal is to spotlight exquisitely designed, cutting-edge clothing that is also practical and environmentally friendly.

The engineered knit collection’s unique ability to “knit to shape” dramatically lowers pre-consumer waste compared to typical cut and sew processes by 18 to 22%. This is in line with the MAS Plan for Change, MAS Holdings’ comprehensive sustainability strategy.

Additionally, 77% of the raw materials used in the MVTM collection come from sustainable, natural, and regenerative sources. These include fabrics made of hemp, modal, and Tencel as well as organic, Better Cotton Initiative-certified cotton and recycled polyester.

It’s important to note that MAS Matrix, which houses 1,000 Stoll flatbed machines and offers product categories such as athleisure wear, performance wear, essentials, and knit components for international brands like Nike, Decathlon, Gymshark, Lacoste, Victoria’s Secret, and Stoko, is the single largest investment made by MAS Holdings.
