Hyosung from Korea Exhibits Sustainable Textile Ideas at Fabric Expo

In exhibit 1413A of the current Functional Fabric Expo in Portland, Oregon, Hyosung of South Korea showcases its most recent sustainable textile solutions. The producer of sustainable textile solutions is showcasing its brand-new, partially derived from renewable resources, creora bio-based Black spandex, at the fabric fair. Its spandex has received certification from the USDA and SGS.

The firm claimed in a news release that the manufacture of bio-based spandex resulted in lower carbon emissions than the production of conventional spandex.

The business is also introducing its 100% recycled, third-party certified creora regen Black spandex, which offers water-saving solutions for a more environmentally friendly manufacturing process. These fibers provide the same intense stretch and recovery advantages as its traditional creora Black spandex and a deeper, darker black color to help prevent grin-through.

Hyosung also exhibits textiles created by international mill partners using their new regen Ocean, a GRS-certified, 100% recycled nylon manufactured from used fishing nets and other recycled nylon trash.

Hyosung engages in a comprehensive collection, chemical recycling, and creation process to produce exceptional-quality yarn that meets brands’ performance expectations and advances corporate sustainability goals.

To aid in the design and development of goods using their textiles, Hyosung is presenting a wide variety of performance fibers. The exhibit showcases various textiles and concept clothing created by the business’ Fashion Design Center (FDC).

The exhibit also highlights several other sustainable yarns, such as creora regen, 100-per cent recycled spandex certified by a third-party, and creora bio-based, made with 30 percent renewable resources. The display includes regen Xanadu, a blend of recycled post-consumer PET and corn-based materials, creora color+, acid/reactive dyeable spandex, and creora EasyFlex, a soft stretch spandex designed for exceptional comfort.

“Many companies requested us to design a dope-dyed Black spandex with the extra benefits of being partially made from renewable resources or 100% recycled,” said Simon Whitmarsh-Knight, Hyosung’s global marketing director for textiles. So, it made perfect sense to incorporate the technology used to produce our popular creora Black spandex into our creora regen and creora bio-based spandex to fulfil the varied demands of our clients.

“The health of our world depends crucially on cleaning up our oceans. Brands can create completely traceable eco-friendly goods that align with their sustainability goals and send a solid statement to customers using our ocean-based recycled fiber solution.
