To bring green denim products to the Indian textile market, the Indian textile maker Arvind has partnered with the Swedish textile recycling business Renewcell’s Circulose Supplier Network.
The goal of this alliance is to advance sustainability and circularity in the apparel sector. Arvind claims that Circulose denim represents a big step towards the creation of environmentally friendly clothing. They emphasize the effective use of resources in the production of textiles as proof that environmentally friendly techniques can also be profitable.
This partnership’s denim is constructed from recycled cotton textiles and Circulose-created viscose, diverting trash from landfills. Utilizing a cutting-edge recycling technique, Circulose converts recycled clothing into cellulose pulp, which is then utilized to produce new denim fibers. By using this technique, waste is greatly reduced and resources are preserved.
Arvind has been a partner of Accelerating Circularity since 2022. This non-profit organization’s mission is to develop new circular supply chains and business models by converting worn clothing into common raw materials. Through active engagement in this effort, Arvind claimed to have effectively blended recycled and circular fibers into scalable products.
Further advancing circular fashion globally, Renewcell expanded its network in October by welcoming new members from Southeast Asia, including Vietnam.
