At Milan Fashion Week, Bosideng introduces weightless down technology

At its runway exhibition during Milan Fashion Week, Bosideng, a renowned down jacket producer, demonstrated its weightless down garment technology. Bosideng’s collection combined parts of Chinese and Italian civilizations, drawing inspiration from the architecture of La Vigna di Leonardo and the Italian Renaissance.

The performance, which featured themes from Leonardo da Vinci’s visions, was staged amidst open spaces and retained Milanese beauty. According to a press statement from Bosideng, the collection gave lightweight down coats a new definition as versatile, weightless, warm, contemporary,’ infusing possibilities into Chinese and Italian cultures.

Technical advancements depart from conventional “rib-like” stitching and explore floral interlocking textures embellishing items with sophisticated handcrafted processes. The brand used ancient Chinese Su embroidery and Italian lace techniques to create each garment, which required at least 500 hours of labor.

Bosideng produces outerwear that is both lighter and warmer than conventional down clothing by using goose down that has been approved worldwide and has a fill of 700+. The integration of proprietary heat and moisture balancing patent systems, the launch of unique high-stretch textiles, and the upgrading of three essential lightweight warmth technologies all happened at once.
