The Rajasthani government uses the EoDB to create the Export Promotion Policy for 2024

The government of Rajasthan has created a draft strategy to boost exports using digital infrastructure, quick clearances, and ease of doing business (EoDB).

Government sources claim that the administration is seeking suggestions on the approach from industrialists, exporters, and trade associations. “Since the model code of conduct is now in force, the final policy will be announced after the Lok Sabha elections,” they said.

According to the projected Export Promotion Policy 2024, Rajasthan was the 11th largest exporting state in India with US $ 9.69 billion in exports in 2022–2023 (FY ’23), or 2.15 percent of all exports from India.

The draft strategy states that because of the state’s economic sector advantages, trading with other countries would help boost the state’s economic prospects and create a sizable number of employment.

The proposed policy states that the state’s export logistics should be competitive for all modes. Additionally, emphasis will be placed on skill-development programs to encourage entrepreneurship in the sector.

Between FY ’19 and FY ’23, Rajasthan’s exports grew at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.22%, which was just slightly faster than India’s national export growth rate of 8.1% during that period.

Government statistics indicates that in 2022–2023, the US constituted almost 22.50 percent of the state’s exports. The textile industry is one of the several industries that the proposed legislation targets.
