Rudolf & Dotdotdot’s digital environment unveils textile secrets

German chemical producer Rudolf has teamed with Milan-based design firm Dotdotdot to create and build an immersive area that employs interactive and mixed media to deliver a 360° immersion into the molecular essence of ‘Better Chemistry’. At Rudolf HUB1922, a digital immersive area will digitally take guests into the endlessly small and into the realm of particles applied to textiles to explore how Rudolf’s technical solutions function at the molecular level.

The trip begins with an immersive environment in which you direct Rudolf’s science. The captivating stories underlying Rudolf’s ‘Better Chemistry’ R&D are revealed there. The immersive space intends to provide a new perspective and understanding of Rudolf’s environmental concern and commitment to sustainable fabrics and fashion. Beautiful pictures are enhanced by immersive and emotive audio, according to a joint press statement from Rudolf and Dotdotdot.

Dotdotdot created unique digital material for Rudolf HUB1922, which gives the area a dynamic aesthetic while generating interest and deepening the link between the Italian showroom and the German scientific powerhouse.

Once the theory is grasped, the adventure moves on to practical demonstrations and technological applications made possible by cutting-edge technology.

This innovative method offers a completely different way of working—a one-of-a-kind sensory microcosm that conveys the beauty of textile chemistry, followed by hard-core development skills that create actual prospects for responsible advancement with clients.

“What they rightly expect is performance, peace of mind, information, education, and, increasingly, support in developing scientifically sound, consumer-relevant, and, above all, exciting storytelling,” stated Dr. Schumann, MD of Rudolf.

“Dotdotdot has designed an interactive experience where a round table is waiting to be activated by the placement of garments to trigger content,” Dotdotdot co-founder and general manager Laura Dellamotta stated. “The stories that are being told unfold in the space, taking visitors on an emotional journey at the intersection of chemistry, sustainability, nature, and textiles.”

“The goal is to lift the curtain on some of the wonders that define RUDOLF, change the way chemistry is viewed, present sustainability as a tangible topic, and create a modern environment for mutual understanding and dialogue,” Alberto De Conti, head of Rudolf HUB1922, stated.
