Birla Viscose EcoSoft, a new type of viscose created completely from bamboo pulp, has been introduced by Birla Cellulose, the pulp and fiber division of the Aditya Birla Group.
One of the species that grows the fastest is bamboo, with some types maturing in as little as 4-6 months. Since it requires fewer resources to develop than other natural fibers, it is increasingly regarded as an environmentally responsible option for textile needs.
Compared to standard viscose fibers, EcoSoft fibers offer better moisture management. The resulting materials have high levels of breathability, which helps regulate body temperature. The company stated in a press release that they are lightweight and have delicate textures.
The bamboo pulp is produced using environmentally friendly production practices and comes from sustainably managed forests (FSC certified).
Birla Viscose EcoSoft has a molecular tracer that enables manufacturers to track the progress of the supply chain through an in-depth transaction certificate.
“Birla Cellulose is pleased to launch Birla Viscose EcoSoft. Consumers who purchase clothing look for perks like supreme comfort and lustrous drapes, which are provided by viscose made from bamboo. According to ManMohan Singh, chief marketing officer of Birla Cellulose, “We believe this product will help the textile industry meet consumer demand while being assured of the highest levels of quality standards and sustainable practices.” To conduct advanced trials, the product is easily accessible.
