Agua by Agua Bendita introduces Ciclos, a resale initiative that prioritizes eco-friendly fashion

In collaboration with Archive, the circularity platform for companies, the Colombian luxury apparel company Agua by Agua Bendita has introduced the Ciclos resale program. A carefully chosen selection of the brand’s heirloom items from its initial collection are available in the customized program.

The company said that Ciclos is “a pledge to mother nature, the root of [its] inspiration,” noting the “enchanting biodiversity and culture” of Latin America as the source of inspiration for its “timeless garments.”

Archive claims that the reselling program is “a nod to the brand’s exceptional craftsmanship and timeless design.” Products from the brand’s “debut resort collection, Holiday 2019, composed of sought-after linen ensembles and delicate hand-illustrated motifs” will also be offered on the website, according to the announcement.

“We believe in creating pieces that can be worn and loved for years because of their timeless style and excellent quality; through Ciclos, we offer Agua garments a renewed purpose, giving them a second life as an adored heirloom,” stated Mariana Hinestroza and Catalina Álvarez, cofounders and creative directors of Agua by Agua Bendita.

The CEO and cofounder of Archive, Emily Gittins, stated in Agua by Agua Bendita “We’re thrilled to be a part of Ciclos, enabling customers to easily repurpose their Agua by Agua Bendita items and, in the process, contribute to the development of a more sustainable, circular fashion industry by partnering with the brand.”

Archive released a statement regarding the addition of these pieces to the Ciclos website, describing them as “exquisite, embroidered pieces, such as the intricately hand-embroidered Durazno One Piece, a labor of love that took 72 hours to create by one of the brand’s artisans.”

The website will showcase exclusive items from the brand’s carefully curated “Heirlooms” collection, which honors the fascinating biodiversity and culture of Latin America, as well as the 2019 kids’ collaboration with Maisonette.
