To launch a capsule collection made from regenerative fiber, Bestseller’s Object brand partnered with US-based fabric innovator Evrnu. This fiber, Nucycl, provides a chance to encourage circularity and lessen waste because it is made from cotton-rich textile waste. Three designs that embrace sustainability and offer an alternative to using virgin tree pulp are the product of the partnership.
Nucycl is distinctive for having a smooth, cotton-like texture and being durable, breathable, and absorbent. The ability of this fiber to regenerate itself through repeated processes is its key feature. Co-founder of Evrnu Stacy Flynn emphasizes how Nucycl differs from other methods of fabric recycling by creating new materials that are on par with or better than the original virgin fiber. This innovation offers the textile industry a greener choice without sacrificing performance, lowering reliance on virgin resources and turning textile waste into useful products.
Through its investment arm, Invest FWD, Bestseller had previously made an early investment in Evrnu. The innovation manager at Bestseller, Camilla Skjnning Jrgensen, emphasizes the company’s attention on systemic changes within the fashion sector and the importance of working with companies and innovators who are solution-focused to advance progress.
The resultant capsule collection includes items like a dress, blouse, and pants with simple silhouettes, monochrome prints, and clean lines that represent the circular fashion philosophy.
