Virgio, a green fashion business renowned for its eco-friendly methods, has declared that it has obtained the “PETA Approved Vegan” certification. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is the largest animal rights organization in the world, with over 6.5 million members and supporters worldwide.
Animal testing practices and the use of products originating from animals, such as fur, wool, leather, and silk, have drawn criticism for the fashion industry. By adopting eco-friendly and sustainable procedures and using vegan resources including natural fabrics, recycled materials, and plant-based alternatives, Virgio is attempting to transform the fashion business.
Virgio’s co-founder and CEO, Amar Nagaram, expressed excitement about the PETA endorsement, saying, “We are honored to get recognition from PETA for our commitment to sustainable and cruelty-free fashion. Our commitment to morality, innovation, accountability, and transparency toward the world and its inhabitants is reflected in this accreditation. It represents a significant advancement in our goal to create clothing that respects animal welfare and the environment.
Virgio’s “PETA Approved Vegan” certification assures customers that no components derived from animals are used in any of its products. In order to comply with PETA’s stringent requirements, Virgio’s materials, production processes, and supply chain all had to be carefully examined during the certification process.
