These include minimizing air freight, lowering Scope 1 energy use, and reducing water use for all company activities. AAG is committed to increasing the use of sustainable materials, gathering ongoing data on greenhouse gas emissions, and continuously collecting and managing production waste in order to continuously improve their decarbonization efforts.

In a press statement, AAG CEO Daniel Hawker stated, “AAG has set time-bound and measurable goals in our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint.” “We are aware that the supply chain accounts for the majority of emissions from the apparel sector. We assume this obligation as manufacturers because we wish to help our customers understand and control their own Scope 3 emissions in addition to lowering our own operational emissions.

The new EMS is a part of the company’s ongoing Responsible Business Strategy, which attempts to foster growth, ongoing governance, as well as social and environmental effect. A yearly third-party audit, the Materiality Assessment, the Supply Chain Traceability Project, the Bureau Veritas Living Wage Audit, and the Circularity and Waste Management programs are also conducted by the company. The goal of each of these programs is to encourage positive change within the industry.
